I have a loving family. I’m in a family of four. I have a mum, a dad, one brother and myself. My mum cooks for us and she loves us all very much. How do I know? Well, because she tells me and shows me when I am with her. She is gentle and smiles at me.

My dad works hard for us so we can have yummy foods to eat. My brother keeps me happy and joyful most of the time, when he isn’t bugging me.

On Sundays my family and I go to this Filpino restaurant called Manna Kitchen. My favourite meal there is this Filipino food called Lumpia.

My favourite whanau saying is: “Family is love to me.”

My Paihia experience

 Last friday my family and I woke up so early to get changed for our Paihia trip. I went to the car first because I was so excited. It was a 3 hour ride from panmure to Paihia. Once we got there I had a mouth watering waffles for breakfast, After breakfast we went to this massive vessel called the 'Dolphin Seeker'. We went to many islands but, there is one that  really fascinates me, it's called 'the hole in the rock'. The vessel tried to fit in the hole but it didn't. We also seen one Dolphin they called it 'Joe19'. After we seen the Dolphin we went back to paihia and go to our house.

                    Water Awareness

Last week we did swimming at the CLM pools in Morrin Road. We were all so excited until....the girls found out that the boys were going to be going first (the girls thought that wasn't fair because it's always girls FIRST!)

While the "boys" were gone we did some fun stuff like play music on our Chromebooks. When it was our turn to get on the bus we got so excited. It wasn't a long trip to the pools. Sometimes we sang songs with the senior girls.

During the ten lessons I learned how to float, use the kicker board and do a manu. If I get into trouble in water I know I have to lie on my back and float but I can still breathe because my mouth is facing upwards. 

We had fun one day when there was a boat in the pool when we arrived. When we went in the boat we the teacher said we had to fall backwards because that was the safest way. 

I loved swimming, I wish we could go back there next year!

Table Tennis experience for Room Six ; )

            

                              Table tennis experience

Dinyar came to our school yesterday and taught us some table tennis skills. First we learn how to hold the tennis table bat, and first there was the pencil grip and then next was the hand - shake grip. After that I got to bounce the ball up and down. I did 100 bounces. Finally we had a competition, and the winners were Chadwick, Sulia and Grace. 

I had a wonderful time playing table tennis with my class and I hope I could play the sport again another day.

Revealing my feelings through Art

This term I drew my own self portrait. I had to draw my own face which was quite hard, but I tried my best to draw the features of my face. I had to draw lines to know where to put my eyes, nose, ears and mouth. A few days later I had to colour in my hair, face and eyes with wax crayons. 

One day after Mrs Agnew showed us a self portrait from another school, she showed how to draw our feelings with lines. We had to use a white wax crayon on a white piece of paper, so we couldn't really see what we had drawn. My favourite line to do was the calm feeling line because I like being calm and I drew a soft wavy line. The next day I dyed my paper blue. I was very careful not to get it on my t - shirt. It was interesting to see the feeling lines shining through.

I wrote a blurb and my favorite blurb is this " When I feel calm, I meditate."

Chicks in Room 6

On March 22 Jo from  Living Eggs, delivered eleven chicks to our room. At first they were just  little tiny eggs. Two days later the eggs hatched!!! Mrs Agnew put the chicks in the brooder. 

When the chicks hatched they were wet and weak, so we couldn't touch them I was sad because they looked weird. Later, Mrs Agnew said that we can hold them tomorrow. I was happy to hear that. 

I held them and it was like a fluffy ball because they were so small and jumpy. I held the chicks two times. Last Thursday the chicks were gone and I was so sad. 

My lockdown story

 Today when I woke up this morning, the sun was rising in beautiful colors which was orange blended in with the color yellow. Then I folded my brothers and my blanket, we both said good morning God for this day then we said good morning to our parents. We both watch TV together. A little while later my dad cooked some hotdogs once I was done. I did my home leanings I did for about one hour then we ate lunch after that we slept. After I did I did a little bit of my learning. 

My trip to New Plymouth

One morning my family and I packed our stuff to get ready for our  six hour - trip to Hawera.  It wasn't just me and my family, my cousin and three friends who are, Kean Oli and Sam came too.  We only had one stop, 

That stop was in McDonalds which was our meet up place. Once we got everyone we all went back on the road and I asked my mum where we were going she said “ your friends house" then I said “okay”.  I think all of the kids were sleeping cuz there was nothing to do, well that's what happened to me and my brother. When I woke up we were already at my friends house we all ate dinner which was egg and soup, once we were all done the boys inflated the air beds and then we had

our movie night and I never had a movie night before so this is new to my me well I had heard it before.

I woke up this morning and we ate breakfast which was spam after that we went to a garden but it was close so the parents decided to go in a museum which was close to so we just went to the pools instead which was open we swam for maybe 1 hour  when we came out it was already night time so once we got to the house we all slept.
